How do I translate Bitkit?

Bitkit is a wallet for everyone, everywhere. We appreciate your help in making Bitcoin accessible worldwide. We welcome translators at Transifex. Feel free to join the languages you're interested in translating, or propose a language that Bitkit isn't being translated to yet. If you have questions about how to use Transifex, we encourage you to check out their guides. Localization guidelines Please help us keep the translations consistent: - Don't translate values inside curly brackets. "Spend {fundsToSpend} sats From {count} addresses" should be translated to "Dépensez {fundsToSpend} sats à partir de {count} adresses", for instance. - Bitkit replaces developer-oriented terms with user-friendly language. So, instead of terms like "Lightning payments", "channels", and "liquidity", we use "instant payments", "connections", and "capacity". If you're acquainted with the Lightning Network, you might be tempted to revert the text back to the tech jargon you're comfortable with. But please, avoid such terms as they could confuse the average user. - Maintain the structure of the original text. If the original text reads ± 5-10 minutes, don't eliminate the space (±5-10 minutes), replace the symbol (~ 5-10 minutes), or swap a symbol for a word (about 5-10 minutes), unless the symbol is unfamiliar or conveys a different meaning in your language. - If the original text is "Fast (more expensive)", "Loading addresses…", "Enable payments with contacts*", "For example 'Website'" don't remove the parentheses, ellipsis, asterisk, or simple quotation marks. - Adhere to the use of Title Case, Sentence case, and lower case as seen in the original text. - If you notice an error or believe that the original English text could be improved, please communicate this on our Discord community. - We're always open to improvements. However, do not translate it solely according to your personal preferences. The translation should mirror the original text, even if you think there might be a better way to phrase it.
